Q:Dear Mr. Awesome yet snarky and always can cause a laugh Viggle Man, in a GIF might you please demonstrate if you are experiencing a server error this morning when checking into last night promoted shows?
Q:Hello, did you happen to record Cutthroat Kitchen last night? If so, we're you able to check into it today? I have tried appx 10 times from the DVR and also from OnDemand with no luck. The app will not recognize the show. Is this one of the quirky TV database issues that we sometimes see with Viggle? Thank you
We checked into the wrong one today. It’s one we still have to redo here in a few. Without much issue, we checked into House Hunters International and Wipeout.
Monday, September 1, 2014 - Bonus Point Shows
As you recoup points from last night, remember that both episodes of Falling Skies gave out bonus. (It was a two-part season finale.) The two episodes are “Space Oddity”, and “Shoot The Moon”.
X-Men: First Class did not give bonus last night. The movie was supposed to be ViggleLive only, but was incorrectly labeled as bonus. Viggle’s mistake, and they will issue an adjustment this week, for anyone who checked in.
That Damn Mixer: For those that were shooting for the Kitchen Aid mixer in the Fandom area, if you do wanna spend a little actual money, 1Sale and Woot.com both have it on sale. On Woot.com, all shipping is only $5, and you can use your Amazon gift card balance to pay for items on Woot.com! (You see why we go for Amazon all the time, now?)
HOT! If you’ve not joined all of us on Swagbucks, now’s the time by following this link. Swagbucks has restructured their surveys, and it’s easier to get more points. We’re averaging a $10 gift card every 3 days, on average. Search the tag Swagbucks on our blog for more tips & help. We’ll be updating the help entries soon with more current information, too.
Everyone: Match 20 songs through Music. These bonus points do count toward your daily 6000 limit. Remember to save one spot until later in the evening, just in the case of an Insider Bonus.
Everyone: Earn more points by watching Wetpaint videos. You’re allowed 200 videos per day at +20 each (+4000 total), awarded immediately after watching the full video. (Check our help page for more on that.) These points do count toward your daily 6000 limit.
Everyone: Set show reminders for NextGuide. When you open the reminder email, you’ll be rewarded 20 points per reminder by the end of the month.

Q:Did you guys receive your 2x bonus for XMen last night? I didn't get it.
No, and Viggle will make an adjustment for it this week, more than likely.
Q:Is there any advantage to redeeming the higher denomination gift cards on Swagbuckscom? Per my calculation, they cost between 5%to 8% higher as opposed to redeeming for a $5 card. For example 2250 points will give you 5 $5 gift cards and it's 2500 points for one $25 card. That means I would be losing 250 points.
We assume you’re talking about Amazon $5 cards being 450 each. All other $5 cards are 500 points each. Amazon cards are always on sale, but you are limited to five $5 cards a month. (You can get as many larger denominations as you want to.).
We redeem those 450 $5 cards usually 3-4 earlier in the month, then the last 1 or 2 at the end of the month. We do that because we like to use as much of our points as possible per month, and start with a near zero balance at the first of the month. And if we have around 450 left near the last day or two of a month, then we’ll get those other 1 or 2 $5 cards from Amazon to round out our month. No reason for that, it’s just how we do it.
For all other cards, it’s 500 per $5 card, so incrementally it’s the same as you get higher. 1000 for $10, 2500 for $25, etc.
Q:So, that $550 - $600 range goes for Viggle as well, I'm guessing.
Yep. Last we heard, but it’s not a huge deal. You fill out the form, send it back in and you can continue to redeem rewards. The taxes aren’t that much, depending on what you do. It’s not thousands of dollars or anything.
Sephora cards are up.
Q:So if you only make 550 on swagbucks you have to pay taxes? I thought it was 600 and up?
Eh, it’s somewhere in that neighborhood.
Q:Congrats, you worked hard with your Swagbucks. But don't you have to pay tax on your rewards after redeeming $550-$600 in a year
We will if we reach $550+.
Q:Found a gem of a video collection on Youtube that has made collecting my music points super simple--"90's Alternative Rock Bands from A to Z". 15 second clips that are perfect for Viggle. So far I have used this single video for 3 days straight and still have 8 minutes of video left. Since alt music is not my thing, I didn't have any of these songs viggled. Using my blue ray player (bought with swagbucks) to access Youtube. Life is good.
Rhapsody, iTunes, Google Play, Napster, Milk, Pandora, I <3 radio, Rdio, SonicTap, Music Choice, & more all have music to use for music check-ins.

Just so know you, if you work at it, you can earn a lot with Swagbucks. This is our redemption just for August. We have 1205 right now, and might get another $10 card for Home Depot before the night is over, but in general, we’ve garnered $200 in gift cards for August alone.
We are working on a Swagbucks page that’s more detailed, that will hopefully help everyone who is a Swagbucks user here. If you’ve not joined Swagbucks - it’s kind of a big deal. Get on the boat and join up. There’s only 122 days until that one big freakin’ holiday, and wouldn’t some extra pocket money be a great thing? Join us.
Q:Do you happen to know what generation the apple tv in the rewards section is?
It’s the black one, so that’s 2nd & 3rd generation. They can only offer what’s in stores. They don’t have a stock pile of rewards on hand like that. So it’s whatever is newest on the market.
Q:Just wanted to respond to the question from the person who wasn't seeing the large point ads anymore. No, it's not just you. I haven't seen a +100 or +150 ad in the 4th slot in probably 6 months, and I click on those 5 point ads like a mofo. I just stopped worrying about it, since there is likely nothing I can do about it. Keep calm and viggle on and all that. But I wanted you to know you aren't alone!
Well, six months is a LONG time. You’re talking February. That’s simply not the case for everyone else. We heat from folks often about the midnight ad reset, and people are getting just under or over 1000. We’ve gotten the same. The lack of ads is more about the last week or two.
Q:I sure I just missed this answer someplace, but do you know if the items that can be purchased only at fandom level will be available for everyone when the fandom ends? I was shooting for the Kitchen Aid mixer and would have had enough points the first week of October,
We would imagine that the products in Fandom will default to the regular Rewards > Products area on October 1, albeit at a higher price.
